Pictures! Pokhara, Nepal to Lumbini

Us in Pokhara on our rented motorcycle, heading to see the Himalayas at dawn! Are we the picture of cool or what?

This picutre on the right is taken from the bus window, the countryside in Nepal, going from Pokhara to the Indian border--Yes it's a steep drop off!--to the canyon below!

The view from the inside of our bus--notice the lovely decorations, the bags in the aisle...and yet there was none of tha loud Hindi music I had been told to expect!

Bus breakdown- who knows how long this will take! better take a nap in the shade!

This is Lumbini, in Nepal, where the historical Buddha Shakyamuni was born. His mom took a bath in the pond first! The building covers remains of monasteries and the holy rock marking the spot.
